About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to support and optimize automated paint systems within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, maintaining, and continuously improving robotic painting applications, flame treatment processes, and related automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial robotics and a strong understanding of paint application processes on plastic components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience programming and maintaining industrial robots in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing robot paths and trajectories for paint application processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to automation and robotics systems.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and industrial software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with robotic painting systems in the automotive or plastics manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of flame treatment processes, paint application equipment, and automated paint lines.
  • Experience with FANUC, ABB, or other industrial robotic platforms.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, and automated material handling systems.
  • Experience with SAP or other manufacturing/maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and optimize robotic painting and flame treatment applications.
  • Create and modify robot trajectories to ensure optimal paint coverage and process efficiency.
  • Program and maintain paint line robots, including flame treatment, paint application, and material handling systems.
  • Configure, document, and validate painting and flame treatment process parameters.
  • Modify and maintain automation software for robots, conveyors, paint delivery systems, 2K systems, and other supporting equipment.
  • Implement software updates and maintain proper documentation of program changes.
  • Diagnose and resolve robotic and automation equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems.
  • Coordinate and support equipment repairs performed internally or by external service providers.
  • Ensure all robotic equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and according to production requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
  • Drive process improvements related to robotic paint application, flame treatment, cycle times, and material consumption.
  • Analyze paint usage, process capability, and production performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter production or maintenance data into systems such as SAP and other relevant databases.
  • Train and support operators and technicians on robotic systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise during new equipment launches, process changes, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and programming standards.
