About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Mandarin/English Robotics Assembly Technician to join a growing team specializing in automated warehouse storage and order fulfillment systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembly experience and be comfortable working with robotic equipment, wiring, sensors, controllers, and automation systems. This role requires the ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese and English and travel internationally for initial training. Our client provides automated warehouse storage and order fulfillment solutions. Their robotic technology helps automate the storage, retrieval, and delivery of inventory, reducing the need for employees to travel throughout the warehouse searching for products.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English required.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, robotics, manufacturing, or industrial equipment assembly.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.
  • Strong hands-on experience assembling mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with wiring, cable routing, crimping, connector installation, and electrical component assembly.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Must have a valid passport or be able to travel internationally and be open to spending up to two weeks in China for company-paid training.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble robotic systems, including mechanical structures, electrical components, wiring harnesses, sensors, controllers, and electromechanical subassemblies.
  • Build and integrate robot modules, charging systems, lift mechanisms, drive assemblies, and other automated equipment.
  • Perform mechanical assembly operations, including fastening, torqueing, drilling, tapping, and component alignment.
  • Install, route, terminate, and secure electrical wiring and cable assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Accurately document assembly activities, quality inspections, testing results, and production records.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, fit, form, and function.
  • Conduct functional testing and quality checks on robotic systems and subsystems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical assembly issues.
  • Identify problems and work independently to support timely solutions.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, torque tools, crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters, and other assembly equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, ISO standards, and PPE requirements.
  • Assist with packaging, material handling, inventory transactions, and preparing equipment for shipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and assembly processes.
  • Help the production team meet daily output, quality, and delivery goals.
