About The Position
Our Douglasville office is seeking a qualified Robotic Welder for a temp-to-hire position with growth potential. The role requires a positive work attitude, good attendance, and a strong work ethic. The hours are Monday-Thursday, 6 am-4:30 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays. Steel-toed shoes, a drug test, and reliable transportation are required.
Requirements
- Fanuc pendant experience required
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (i.e. gloves)
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in English
- Stand 10+ Hours daily
- Able to lift +/- 50 lbs
- Able to work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled
- Must be able to see details at close range
- Steel Toe shoes
Nice To Haves
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
- Bi-Lingual is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Use computer to report quantity
- Report issues and defective parts
