Requirements

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five (5)+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires basic understanding of blueprint reading.
Leadership capability.
Ability to solve problems.
Able to read calipers.

Responsibilities

Set-Up and operate Robotic Welders.
Produces welded parts by setting up and operating Robotic Welding machines.
Maintains quality and safety standards.
Keeps records.
Maintains equipment and supplies.
Maintains specifications by observing weld location and quality.
Detects malfunctions and troubleshoots processes.
Replaces worn tools.
Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Completes daily preventive maintenance requirements for equipment.
Installs weld fixtures and calls up appropriate program to weld the product in schedule.
Plans next job by referring to daily schedule.
Uses blueprints to verify workpieces.
Records weld set-up data.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
Adheres to international standards.
Reads calipers.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
