About The Position

The Robotic Weld Operator supports the mission of JR Custom Metal Products/Anchor Fabrication Kansas by producing parts that meet the specification and quality standards of the customer.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
• The ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• The ability to operate hand tools.
• Continually demonstrate a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
• Work in such a way as to create limited scrap or rework and work to continually improve quality level.
• Keep work area clean.
• Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints with knowledge of welding symbols.
• Reliable transportation & a good attendance record.

Nice To Haves

• Welding Technical Certificate or at least 1 year of industrial welding experience

Responsibilities

• Set up the robotic weld machines for operation
• Load and unload products to and from the machine.
• Position, align and secure parts against fixtures or stops on the machine.
• Perform work using safe work habits.
• Confirm welded pieces conform with product specifications and blueprints.
• Weld components, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility of position.
