About The Position

Our Robotic Weld team is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining robotic welding systems to ensure the efficient and accurate production of welded components. This role requires a strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with robotic welding systems and welding processes.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating robotic welding equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in welding technology or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate robotic welding machines and equipment.
  • Program robotic welders to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Adjust welding parameters to optimize weld quality and production efficiency.
  • Prepare and position parts for welding, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
  • Load and unload parts from welding fixtures and jigs.
  • Perform fixture and tool changes as required.
  • Inspect welded parts for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform destructive and non-destructive testing to verify weld integrity.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Perform routine maintenance on robotic welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Work with maintenance personnel to resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding processes, production output, and equipment maintenance.
  • Report any deviations from standard procedures or quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for robotic welding processes.
  • Identify and report quality, material, or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
