About The Position

This is a temp-to-hire position for a Robotic Mig Welder Programmer Trainee (DS1001 Class Two Op). The role involves operating multiple types of machines in the production department, potentially assembling and packing products, and working under moderate supervision. Previous manufacturing experience is required. The trainee will receive continuous process improvement training and may participate on project teams.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience is required.
  • Ability to operate multiple types of machines.
  • Ability to assemble and/or pack products.
  • Ability to move materials and/or parts between workstations.
  • Ability to load and unload machines, conveyors, pallets or automatic lines.
  • Ability to perform set-up for the packing department.
  • Ability to perform rework and minor repairs.
  • Ability to keep accurate counts of production parts.
  • Ability to produce to established production and quality standards.
  • Ability to conduct simple quality inspections.
  • Ability to input simple data into computerized machines.
  • Ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Ability to conduct all works in a safe manner following established safety standards.
  • Ability to read specified measuring instruments including tape measure, micrometer, etc.
  • Ability to perform minor set-up adjustments and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to understand the meaning of written or printed matter.
  • Ability to write information by inscribing characters or symbols.
  • Ability to speak simple sentences and communicate to co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply or divide.
  • Ability to determine the number of individual things in a unit or group.

Nice To Haves

  • Recommend one year minimal training as Class One Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple types of manual or semi-automatic machines.
  • Move materials and/or parts between workstations.
  • Assist other operators by loading or unloading jigs, fixtures, and/or tooling.
  • Assemble and/or pack products.
  • Load and unload all levels of machines, conveyors, pallets or automatic lines.
  • Perform set-up for the packing department by setting up tables and obtaining packing supplies necessary for each job.
  • Perform necessary rework and minor repairs.
  • Keep accurate counts of production parts.
  • Produce to established production and quality standards and conduct simple quality inspections.
  • Input simple data into computerized machines, but does not program computer.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Conduct all works in a safe manner following established safety standards.
  • Read specified measuring instruments including but not limited to tape measure, micrometer, etc.
  • Receive team and continuous process improvement training and participates on project teams as required.
  • Perform minor set-up adjustments and preventative maintenance as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May participate on project teams as requested.
