About The Position

A Robotic Lead is responsible for a variety of tasks including planning, scheduling, and helping resolve robotic weld issues. Ensure that all weld projects are completed in a timely manner and stay within budget. Oversees the department operations and recommends strategies for continuous improvement. Monitor the performance of weld workers, verifying product quality and tracking key performance metrics.

  • Setting up and operating robotic welders at or above established quality and efficiency standards
  • Creating, programming, adjusting, and maintaining robotic system programs to specifications
  • Ensuring robots have maximum uptime and produce consistent weld quality meeting standards within job schedule
  • Maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Quality Departments
  • Inspecting welding products for accuracy and flaws
  • Completing required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicating with other departments
  • Keeping work areas clean and organized
  • Adhering to all company rules and policies

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train and coach employees to ensure requirements are met for production
  • Lead’s day-to-day responsibilities of department
  • Monitor employee(s) performance
  • Monitor Earned Hour Ratio (EHR)
  • Report issues/problems to immediate supervisor
  • Ensure document control is being completed properly
  • Act as department communicator during status meetings, management updates, and shift changes.
  • Perform manufacturing processes to aid in fulfillment of production timelines and goals
  • Set up and operate robotic welders at or above established quality and efficiency standards
  • Create, program, adjust and maintain robotic system programs to specifications
  • Ensures all Robots have maximum uptime and produce weld quality consistently that meet quality standards within job schedule
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety by completing preventive maintenance per established schedules
  • Collaborate with Engineering I Quality Department personnel in testing and evaluating welding equipment, metals, fixtures, methods and processes
  • Inspect welding products to ensure accuracy and discover flaws
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
