Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Skilled in one of the following with knowledge of the others: Welding, Electrical, Pneumatic, Robotics
  • General knowledge of basic accessing information on the computer or entering data in a computer system.
  • General knowledge of PLCs

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer at least 1 year of progressive robotic experience (programming, adjustments, etc.)
  • Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools.
  • Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling).
  • Skilled in hand and power tool usage.
  • Ability to follow proper safety procedures.
  • Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues.
  • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
  • Prefers experience working with FANUC robots.

Responsibilities

  • Setup shakers & shaker trays
  • Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools.
  • Complete visual inspection of parts to determine quality, as well as measure and/or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read production schedules to determine what job will be next in rotation
  • Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.
  • Start, monitor, and adjust robotic production lines.
  • Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
  • Comfortable working with and giving directions to other workers regarding machine set-up and use
  • Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments to equipment. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Compute and record settings for new work, applying knowledge of metal properties, and shop mathematics.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
  • Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
  • Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope / position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
  • Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental processes and requirements applicable to their role.
