About The Position

The Robot Systems Engineer will own the integration layer where robotics hardware meets software at a newly founded, well-funded robotics startup in San Francisco. The company is building bimanual robots to automate industrial labor and develops its hardware, machine learning, and deployment infrastructure in-house, with a goal of achieving 99.9%+ reliability. The role integrates robot arms, haptic devices, teleoperation rigs, and sensors into reliable software stacks for research and deployment teams. It also builds infrastructure for deployed robots, with round-trip latency under 200 milliseconds across hundreds of miles, and develops software interfaces connecting hardware to ML training and data pipelines. The engineer works with ML and hardware teams to bring new hardware capabilities into production. The position is on-site in San Francisco six days per week.
