About The Position

A Robot Service Technician is needed in Towson, Maryland, to help build, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair self-driving delivery robots. The position supports the deployment of delivery bots at Towson State and includes assembly, component installation, repairs, testing, and field support. This is a full-time, on-site contract position on an afternoon/evening shift, paying $25–$28 per hour.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive, mechanical, manufacturing, electronics, or technician work.
• Comfort with mechanical and electrical work.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record for the past 12 months.

Nice To Haves

• Soldering experience is a plus.
• Relevant backgrounds include Automotive Technician, Service Technician, Electronics Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cables, wiring, and robot components.
• Install and replace cameras, LiDAR, and sensors.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot batteries, wiring, and mechanical parts.
• Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Assist with testing and field support.
