About The Position

Avride is hiring an entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the deployment and daily operations of its autonomous delivery robot fleet at multiple U.S. campuses. The role supports robot preparation, maintenance, and service while offering an opportunity to learn foundational robotics and electro-mechanical assembly skills. The position is part-time and weekend-based, with work performed through Avride’s staffing partner and weekly pay. Weekend shifts cover Saturday and Sunday, usually about 16 hours total per weekend in shifts of approximately eight hours per day. Available shift periods vary by campus and may include morning/afternoon or afternoon/late-evening hours. The role is not remote. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; relocation and sponsorship are not offered.

Requirements

Comfort working in varied field environments.
Ability to safely lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Authorization to work in the U.S.

General computer literacy.
Introductory background or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Responsibilities

Prepare robots for each shift by ensuring hardware and software are ready for deployment.
Place robots and batteries on chargers for the night and manage power cycles to support fleet readiness.
Clean robots and protect sensitive external hardware.
Assist with and perform basic mechanical repairs on the robot fleet.
Help implement hardware or software service campaigns across the fleet.
Provide hands-on field support to remote support coordinators and the remote tracking team.
Perform calibrations and wheel alignment to ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
Keep the workshop clean, tidy, safe, and organized.
