About The Position

Avride is hiring an entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the launch and daily operation of autonomous delivery robots at multiple U.S. campuses. The role supports robot preparation, maintenance, repairs, fleet readiness, and deployment while providing an opportunity to develop foundational robotics and electro-mechanical assembly skills. The position is employed through Avride's staffing partner and offers weekly pay. This is a part-time weekend role covering Saturday and Sunday. Most campuses offer approximately 16 hours per weekend, generally split into shifts of about eight hours per day. Available shifts are AM (typically 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) and PM (typically 4:00 PM–12:00 AM); exact hours vary by campus. Remote work is not available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; relocation and sponsorship are not offered.

Requirements

Comfortable working in varied field environments.
Able to safely lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
Team-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S.

General computer literacy.
Introductory background or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Responsibilities

Prepare robots for shifts by ensuring hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
Place robots and batteries on chargers for the night and manage power cycles to maintain fleet readiness.
Clean robots, maintain their physical appearance, and protect sensitive external hardware.
Assist with and perform basic mechanical repairs on the robot fleet.
Help implement fleet-wide hardware or software service campaigns and updates.
Serve as a hands-on field contact for remote support coordinators and the remote tracking team.
Perform calibrations and wheel alignment to ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
Keep the workshop clean, tidy, safe, and organized.
