The Robot Programmer will be responsible for verifying material, setting up necessary fixtures, and performing final weld inspections to ensure adherence to print specifications. This role involves performing pre-work inspections of robot welders, completing any necessary maintenance for safe operation, and bracing/clamping parts for proper alignment. The programmer will also perform secondary functions like welding and grinding to correct non-conforming parts, identify and repair weld defects, and create/document weld, seam tracking, and weave schedules for new parts. Additionally, they will identify all parts produced with their employee number, maintain a clean work area adhering to 5S initiatives, and perform other related duties as assigned. The role requires strict adherence to safety and PPE requirements, inputting maintenance work orders, and scanning work order data into the MRP/JDE system. A key aspect is ensuring defect-free product by following all procedures, completing in-process inspections, and documenting critical quality information.
