Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
  • Successful completion of GPI Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect area while walking around robot area to respond to issues that arise (i.e.: stage pick errors, wrong case sizes, light curtain faults, dropped cases, and untapped cases.)
  • Operate HMI control screen to reset, power down, or enable/disable robot and robot cells.
  • Operate teach pendent to jog robot if issues arise.
  • Operate stretch wrappers.
  • Determine why boxes aren’t being scanned (i.e.: labels on incorrectly, or box not placed on conveyor belt properly.)
  • Put boxes in designated area.
  • Responsible to review and confirm Pallet tags, Pallet log and Work instructions all agree.
  • Confirm labels are secure and facing out, as applicable, when preparing pallets. Also, make sure corrugated is all lined up and matches in appearance.
  • Hand stack boxes from when needed if robot issues arise.
  • Record any discrepancies as they occur. Turn in information into shift manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc.) performed during make ready.
  • The robot operator will help with troubleshooting when issues arise.
  • Support and Develop (Lean) initiatives (5s, TPM, Daily Management).
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
