2nd Shift ROBOT OPERATOR
About The Position
Collis LLC, a subsidiary of SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC, is a growing multinational supplier to global appliance OEMs. With over 70 years of expertise and innovation, the company designs and sells components and systems for the residential appliance industry (refrigeration, cooking, laundry), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display, and home/office organizational markets. The Robot Operator will set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines or robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. This role also includes workers who operate laser cutters or laser-beam machines.
Requirements
- Valid Forklift Certification (we certify onsite)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and calipers
- Demonstrate the ability to mechanically set up machines for changeovers and make appropriate adjustments when issues arise
- Accurate measuring and math skills
- Advanced knowledge of required measuring tools
- Must have verbal and written communication skills
- Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Detailed and hands-on oriented
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers
- Work overtime as necessary
- Produce all parts to quality standards
- Setup and operate rod & wire str., automats, benders, from press, welders, frame handler, inline and trimmers
- Understand how gages work in alignment with making quality parts
- Adjust entron boxes
- Operate and control pendants
- Troubleshoot machines and tooling
- Identify unsatisfactory tooling and components
- Perform lock and tag outs on machines in accordance with safety standards
- Perform trucking and operate material handling devices as needed
- Produce to standard rate at a minimum
- Obtain and maintain required tools
- Perform and document all required quality checks of parts produced
- Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area per area 5S procedures
- Be assigned to other jobs when the machine is not running
- Other duties as assigned
