About The Position

As our Roadway Design Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering complex roadway projects across Georgia while helping develop the next generation of engineering talent. This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise, mentorship, and project leadership to make a lasting impact on our clients and communities. This hybrid position offers flexibility to balance in-office collaboration at our Atlanta office with remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 7+ years of roadway engineering experience
  • Proficiency in MicroStation
  • Strong knowledge of roadway design principles, engineering standards, and industry best practices
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional work

Nice To Haves

  • Open Roads Designer experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with GDOT projects preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of roadway design projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry and client standards
  • Mentor and develop engineers, helping build technical expertise across the Georgia roadway team
  • Guide project teams in selecting appropriate design approaches, analyses, software tools, and engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to deliver successful outcomes for clients and communities
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource, contributing expertise across multiple projects and disciplines
  • Support the continued growth and advancement of our roadway practice through innovation, technical excellence, and thought leadership
