The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with local DOT standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
  • Licensed PE in the state of CT or able to obtain licensure through comity within one year
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
  • Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • OpenRoads Designer proficiency
  • Assure compliance with project CADD standards
  • Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior staff to deliver transportation projects
  • Ability to work independently within a design team to execute project work plans
  • Be accountable for budgets and schedules provided by the Project Manager
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Interact with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
