About The Position
A growing firm is looking to add a Roadway Engineer to their team! The role involves preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway improvement projects, reviewing engineering work, coordinating projects, building client relationships, and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of roadway design experience
- PE License for Illinois
- Strong technical skills
- Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads and GEOPAK
- Experience on IDOT/Illinois Tollway projects and CDOT projects
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- PE License for Indiana preferred
- Experience with Indiana/Michigan DOT projects preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare plans, specification and cost estimates for roadway improvement projects
- Review and check engineering work completed by others
- Coordinate projects with other disciplines
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Mentor/train junior staff
