Roadway EIT/Coordinator
About The Position
HDR is seeking a Roadway EIT/Coordinator to join its Transportation Business Group and contribute to urban and rural transportation projects for Federal, State, and Local clients. The role supports the design of transportation systems, including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities. Working with other project engineers, the successful candidate will contribute to detailed design across projects of varying size and complexity, including alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, plans, construction cost estimates, and technical documentation. Candidates without an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate may be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.
- Candidates without an EIT certificate will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with highway and road engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Work with other project engineers on detailed design for urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
- Design transportation systems, including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.
- Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction cost estimates.
- Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
