About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join its Ft. Lauderdale, Florida office. The intern will provide administrative and operational support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff, collaborate with engineers on roadway plan production, complete simple drafting and CAD/ORD assignments under detailed instructions, and assist with design data compilation and construction plan preparation.

The internship includes participation in Explore, AtkinsRéalis’ intern development initiative, with hands-on experience, professional support and mentorship, and career and educational exploration activities. The position is intended for a junior pursuing a civil engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program by the start of the internship.

Requirements

• Be a junior pursuing a civil engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program by the start of the internship in Summer 2027.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff.
