Road Mechanic - 14on/14 off
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Road Mechanic to join their on-site team in Fort McMurray. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. The fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and potentially large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in Autopark movie and/or commercial transport.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- A valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.
