About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Road Mechanic to join their on-site team in Edmonton. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. The fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms and general construction tools and equipment. Specialty locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. The company emphasizes double-digit growth and internal promotion opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in Autopark movie and/or commercial transport.
- A valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

- Makes complex repairs on equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
