Pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and/or turn-point locations via tractor-trailer combinations. This role involves operating tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles (and triples, where applicable), performing daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment, and hooking/unhooking trailers and converter dollies. The driver will verify and complete required documentation and reports, maintain accurate daily logs, and comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures. They will follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, and equipment problems. Additional duties may include performing chaining of vehicle tires, performing job duties of a city driver or a dock employee where operationally necessary, and loading/unloading freight.
