Follows established hospital and department policies. Attends 80% of staff meetings and read and initials minutes of all meetings. Develops innovative solutions to departmental problems. Identifies and implements methods of controlling costs or generating revenue while providing maximum value to both the patient/customer and the hospital. Makes decisions in accordance with the best interests of the individual and organization we serve. Avoids actual, and the appearance of, conflict of interest.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the AORN standards for RN first assistant education programs
- Three (3) years Perioperative Practice.
- Experience in both scrub and circulating RN roles
- Registered Nurse: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 30 Days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS, within 6 - months
- Certified Nurse Operating Room - CNOR, upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing BSN
- Previous first assist experience
- Experience as RN and First Assist in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant CRNFA
