About The Position

This full-time RN position is located at the Ambulatory Pain Treatment Center @ Sawgrass and involves providing proficient patient care for complex patients. The role includes an expanded charge nurse function, responsibility for new staff orientation, and potentially acting as a care coordinator. The position is Monday-Friday, with four 9-hour shifts, and requires adherence to unit policy for weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience, preferably in acute care, with strong organizational and critical thinking skills for a procedural/infusion area. Responsibilities include pre, intra, and post-procedure care for patients with chronic and acute pain conditions, involving various procedures such as injections, blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and infusions. Patients range from adolescents to advanced age. Excellent IV skills are a plus. Moderate Sedation competency, ACLS, and PEARS are required within the first year. Some telephone triage is also involved. The candidate must possess strong assessment and communication skills, be positive, flexible, and invested in team success. Requirements

• RN with a minimum 1-2 years of experience (preferably in acute care).
• Organizational and critical thinking skills needed to work in a procedural/infusion area.
• Excellent IV skills are a positive.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Must be positive, flexible and invested in team success.
• Moderate Sedation competency, ACLS & PEARS required by the end of the first year.

Responsibilities

• Provision of proficient patient care inclusive of complex patients.
• Assume an expanded charge nurse role and unit responsibility for orientation for new staff.
• May assume the role of care coordinator for a given group of patients, monitoring and evaluating patient care based on the unit standards of care.
• Actively involved in unit/service activities, contributing to outcomes from those groups.
• Providing and coordinating pre, intra and post procedure care for patients being treated for a variety of chronic and acute pain conditions.
• Some telephone triage.
