In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication. Exciting LPN position available with fast paced Urology practice at the new state of the art clinical location. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, recording with the electronic medical record, specimen obtaining and preparation, patient prep for procedures, assistance during procedures, high level disinfection of equipment, and physician documentation support across multiple urology disciplines (general urology, oncologic urology, kidney and bladder stones, infertility, and procedures). Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment and have excellent communication skills. Needs to work well in a team approach to provide quality care for complex urologic patients.
