About The Position

The RN role is a driving position requiring travel throughout Millersburg, Wooster, and New Philadelphia. The role involves learning the admission process in addition to homecare RN responsibilities and working in admissions if needed. Holiday and weekend rotation is expected, and the RN will assist in covering planned and unplanned time off. This is a PRN position. Ohio’s Hospice provides superior care and services to patients at their end-of-life journey, emphasizing that only those with a heart for hospice will succeed. The RN plans and delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation. They will effectively interact with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Requirements

  • Active RN license in the State of Ohio without any board actions
  • CPR Certified
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Two years acute care nursing experience preferred
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred

Responsibilities
