About The Position

Baptist Health Louisville’s 30+ bed Observation Unit supports the Emergency Department and telemetry units. The unit cares for low-acuity patients requiring short-term evaluation to determine whether hospital admission is necessary. It is a fast-paced setting with strong nurse-to-patient ratios and may suit nurses with telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or other acute-care experience. This part-time position is 24 hours per week on the third shift.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN license.
• BCLS.
• ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and reassessments.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Provide care aligned with hospital policies, professional standards, and the organization’s mission and values.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care as needed.
• Use critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills in daily practice.
