About The Position

Provides direct care to patients on an assigned unit through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Manages the care of assigned patients and demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming Shift Leader responsibilities when requested or in preparation for advancement to Level II or Level III. Works primarily with adult and geriatric patients, or with pediatric and adolescent patients, depending on the assigned unit. The role is in a typical acute healthcare setting and involves patients with a wide range of medical and surgical problems.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, or obtain it before working as an RN.
Current Georgia RN license or a multistate license meeting eNLC criteria, or obtain licensure before beginning work as an RN.
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Meet the physical demands of handling and lifting patients, standing and walking for extensive periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
Have corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.
Work under stressful conditions and be exposed to communicable diseases or body fluids.
