Position Summary
The Staff Registered Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing
• Currently RN licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing or valid Compact.
• Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred
• minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention and supportive counseling.
• Perform physical examinations and vital signs monitoring as required.
• Engage in patient education regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in psychiatric nursing
