About The Position
The Staff Pad is partnering with a reputed hospital in Manchester, TN to hire a compassionate and skilled Operating Room/Surgical Circulator RN to join their Surgical Services team. As an RN Circulator, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care throughout every phase of surgery — from pre-op to post-op — while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team. In this role, you will help maintain sterile technique, ensure surgical readiness, and support safe, positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced OR environment.
Requirements
- Current Tennessee RN license (or compact equivalent)
- BLS, Hospital-based ACLS and PALS required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- OR experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients of all ages
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and supplies
- Support surgical and anesthesia teams before, during and after procedures
- Perform accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts in accordance with AORN standards
- Properly handle and label surgical specimens
- Maintain up-to-date surgeon preference cards and surgical readiness
- Mentor and support new staff and nursing students
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
