About The Position

Ephrata Manor is currently adding experienced PRN RNs to its Skilled Nursing Team! Ideal candidates will have at least one year of long-term care experience, PA RN License, and availability to work AT LEAST TWO SHIFTS/PER WEEK. Two weekend shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) are also required to maintain active status on the PRN Pool.

Requirements

At least one year of long-term care experience.
PA RN License.
Availability to work AT LEAST TWO SHIFTS/PER WEEK.
Two weekend shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) are also required to maintain active status on the PRN Pool.
Must possess, as a minimum, a Diploma or Nursing Degree from an accredited school, college or university.
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must be able to summarize and relate information concerning a resident's condition.
Must possess the ability/willingness to learn basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises the day-to-day care delivered to assigned residents through conducting of rounds to ensure completion of work assignments according to care plans and resident wishes.
Receiving and transcribing physician orders.
Ordering, preparing, and administering meds and treatments.
Ensuring that controlled substance records are accurate, reporting any discrepancies.
Receiving and giving change of shift reports.
Completing resident assessments.
Participating in development and implementation of resident care plans and discharge planning.
Ensuring ongoing assessments of residents' condition.
Observing residents for side effects, pain, emotional status, changes in condition, etc., and notifying physician, as appropriate.
Assisting the RNAC with completion of documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
