About The Position
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. This department includes all functions related to operating room services, including intraoperative patient care. It may also include perfusion services, inpatient and/or outpatient services, and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU, anesthesia functions, pre-op holding, or central sterile functions. If the department operates as a combined department with all surgery services combined, the posting advises notifying FP&A so it can be mapped to “Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia” for an appropriate benchmark.
