This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position requiring 3 12-hour shifts per week, typically from 7a-7p (6:45am-7:15pm). The role involves working every other holiday and weekends as scheduled. The RN is expected to be a role model, demonstrating creativity, positivity, enthusiasm, confidentiality, teamwork, problem-solving, and professionalism. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to assess resident care quality, knowledge of state and federal regulations, and management of nursing operations including staff supervision and evaluation. The RN will also provide support and consultation to nursing staff and trainees, ensure compliance with standards, and participate in policy development. Continuous learning through meetings, seminars, and professional reading is expected. In the absence of department heads and administrators, the RN may need to manage or make decisions concerning other departments. The role is integral to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts, requiring participation in training, carrying out assigned responsibilities, and supporting QAPI initiatives. Additionally, the RN must understand and promote Trauma Informed Care, fostering a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing, and protecting trauma survivors. Participation in annual compliance and ethics training and adherence to the code of conduct are also required.
