About The Position

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a per diem registered nurse for its Postoperative General Surgical Unit (South 5), a 36-bed general surgical unit. Nurses will be trained to care for the general surgery population and develop basic age-related competencies for adults. Patient populations include GI, GU, bariatric, head and neck, breast and reconstructive, and vascular surgery, as well as other general surgical care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
• Current Washington state RN license.
• Healthcare provider CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Recent or current Med/Surg nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the postoperative general surgical unit.
• Care for adult patients across general surgery populations, including GI, GU, bariatric, head and neck, breast and reconstructive, and vascular surgery.
• Complete training to care for the general surgery population and meet basic age-related competencies for adults.
