About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for wound care to provide specialized, one-on-one care in patients' homes. This role involves improving patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate care, making a lasting impact on patients and families. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will deliver specialized wound, skin, ostomy, and continence care, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, performing wound treatments and dressing changes, monitoring healing progress, and educating patients and caregivers on wound management and prevention. Your expertise will promote healing, prevent complications, and enhance quality of life.
Requirements
- Experienced Registered Nurse with strong wound assessment and treatment experience.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Nice To Haves
- Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized wound, skin, ostomy, and continence care to patients in the home setting.
- Perform comprehensive assessments.
- Develop individualized care plans.
- Provide wound treatments and dressing changes.
- Monitor healing progress.
- Educate patients and caregivers on effective wound management and prevention strategies.
