About The Position

The RN Wellness Nurse at PEACE VILLAGE is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and wellness of residents through comprehensive nursing care and health education. This role aims to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing personalized care plans and fostering a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a wellness or geriatric setting.
  • Experience in developing and implementing wellness programs for seniors or similar populations.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting health assessments and creating individualized care plans.
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric health issues and wellness strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care with a focus on promoting health and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough health assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize health outcomes for residents.
  • Educate residents and their families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in wellness programs and initiatives designed to improve resident health and well-being.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic support to residents, addressing their health concerns and needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior nursing staff to uphold high standards of care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with nursing practices and healthcare advancements.
