About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Weekender - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Join Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world-class, and caregivers are family. Hillcrest Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides the highest quality care for patients with complex acute and chronic health issues. This unit’s patient population includes adults with diagnoses/diseases in a variety of areas, such as trauma, high-risk obstetrics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, sepsis, GI bleed, COPD, stroke, and more. Both the patient and the family are encouraged to participate in the interdisciplinary plan of care to achieve healthy outcomes that include a return to health or provide comfort and support at the end of life. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM – 7:30PM.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
One-year of current acute care RN experience.
Will consider military RN experience.
