RN Weekender - Cardiac Neuro ICU - Nights
About The Position
The RN Weekender - Cardiac Neuro ICU position is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This role involves providing professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The nurse will utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients, recognize changes in condition, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations. Responsibilities also include delegating patient care tasks and functioning as a team member to achieve unit goals. Requirements
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- 5 years of RN critical care experience
- If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
- BLS
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of start date into position

Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.

- Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
