Learn more about Stillwater Health Care: CLICK HERE Stillwater Health Care is an agency FREE, 63 bed center that is currently seeking a Weekend Warrior RN to work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 am to 6:30pm. The Weekend Warrior not only receives a premium hourly differential but also receives the traditional weekend differentials. RN Weekend Warrior An every weekend scheduling option to RNs newly hired in the Nursing department on a limited basis. Employees must make a commitment to enroll in the program for twenty-six (26) consecutive weekends (six months). During this period, the employee will be scheduled to work a minimum of three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts per weekend. For the purpose of defining this program, the “weekend” begins on Friday at 6:30am and ends on Monday evening at 7:00pm. May take 2 (non-consecutive) weekends off during the 26 weekend contract. We are looking for a registered nurse to join our nursing staff in providing excellent health care to our residents. Your duty of caring for the residents coming into our facility include tasks like creating and maintaining accurate patient records, administering medication and monitoring for side effects, recording vital signs, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient conditions. A bachelor's degree in nursing and a state license are essential requirements for consideration. You will also need to be trained in BLS/CPR and be ACLS-certified. A professional, friendly attitude and effective communication skills are keys to becoming successful in this role.

Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in nursing
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in Maine.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtainedduring orientation. CPR certification must remain current duringemployment.
  • Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/orsolid computer skills
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing andverbally
  • Effective leadership skills and/or ability to invest ingrowing this skill
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate, complete health care records andreports.
  • Administering medications to patients and monitoringthem for side effects and reactions.
  • Prescribing assistive medical devices and relatedtreatments.
  • Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms orchanges in patient conditions.
  • Administering non-intravenous medications.
  • Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluatingpatient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
  • Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicatedby patient conditions and responses.
