RN Unit Manager
About The Position
Cypress Village is recruiting a hospitality-focused Nurse Manager to provide direct nursing care to residents and delegate and supervise care and services provided by Licensed Nurses and Quality of Life Specialists. The role administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, obtains specimens as needed, and completes required documentation. The RN Manager is responsible for overall nursing care and services on their shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments, documentation, and emergency calls as indicated. The role also supports a safe, clean environment and helps develop comprehensive care plans.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as an RN in the State.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is required as a condition of employment.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
- Enthusiasm, compassion, and a passion for hospitality and senior engagement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise direct resident care and nursing personnel on the assigned shift, and provide direct care as necessary.
- Give and receive shift reports.
- Round twice per shift to ensure proper care is being provided in a safe and clean environment.
- Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents’ conditions.
- Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and perform treatments and procedures.
- Obtain specimens as needed.
- Complete required documentation and make emergency calls as indicated.
- Delegate and supervise care and services provided by Licensed Nurses and Quality of Life Specialists.
