About The Position
This is a contract/non-travel position for a Nurse Unit Manager in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves leading and guiding nursing staff, supervising patient care, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The contract duration is 7 weeks, with a schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Valid and active Registered Nurse State license.
- Previous nursing leadership experience.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to follow policies.
- Supervise patient care, including assessments, medications, and documentation.
- Participate in staffing and scheduling for efficient patient care.
- Mentor and educate nursing staff for their professional growth.
- Monitor compliance, maintain quality standards, and conduct audits for improvement.
- Respond to medical emergencies according to protocols.
