About The Position

Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Inpatient Surgical Unit. The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, this role leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The goal is to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• Experienced RN with 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Master degree preferred.
• If the graduate degree is not in nursing, then the BSN is required.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire.
