About The Position
Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for an RN Unit Coordinator to join the 2S Oncology Team at Virginia Beach General Hospital. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the day shift. The 2 South Oncology unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 26-bed unit dedicated to providing exceptional, quality care for patients with various cancers, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma treatment, radiation, gynecologic cancers, hematologic disorders, and end-of-life care. This unit offers a valuable nursing career experience in oncology care.
Requirements
- BSN required
- 18 months RN experience in an acute care setting
- Oncology experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
- Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff.
- Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
