About The Position

The Sentara Princess Anne Hospital provides exceptional emergency care to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week with expert staff, cutting-edge technology and specialty services. This role demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, this role leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The goal is to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements

RN VA or Compact License in good standing
18 months nursing experience in the ED required

Nice To Haves

BSN required, MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing leadership support to the day shift
Engaging in active, real-time peer coaching
Managing conflict resolution and customer service interventions
Overseeing and optimizing patient flow
Conducting various audits to ensure quality and compliance
