Cleveland Clinic's G101 Transplant Specialty Care Unit is a 34-bed unit that specializes in kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestine surgeries while also providing supportive services to transplant patients and their families. G101 values their positive, team-oriented and supportive culture, optimistic mindset and daily huddles to ensure communication and collaboration across day and night shifts. In September 2024, G101 received the Top Nurses Team Award at Cleveland.com’s Top Nurses Award ceremony. Award recipients were selected among 141 nominations and represented a wide variety of specialties, all showing a knack for and commitment to providing compassionate care. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN and BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
