About The Position

The staff nurse provides nursing care to kidney and liver transplant patients in an outpatient setting, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse works within organizational policies and procedures, maintains standards of practice, coordinates assigned staff’s patient-care activities, and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The role combines hands-on clinical care with ongoing patient relationships and continuity of care in a collaborative, team-based environment.

The position’s stated schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with no weekends, nights, or on-call duties. Clinical skills used include IV insertion and infusion support, FibroScans, in-office post-surgical procedures, phlebotomy, and EKGs.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• No experience is required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
• Hospital nursing experience is preferred; one year in a hospital setting is required for PRN positions.
• Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable, as described in the addendum.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Hospital nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provide nursing care to kidney and liver transplant patients in an outpatient setting.
