RN Telephonic Nurse - Accredo - Work from Home, Anywhere, USA (Compact Nursing License Required)
About The Position
This is a full-time, work-from-home opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a telephonic role. The primary responsibility is to provide telephonic education to patients and caregivers, following clinical protocols and working within the nursing scope of practice. The role involves educating patients on diseases and drugs, coaching them to improve their well-being, and communicating with their treating physicians about new symptoms or health-related matters. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) compact license required.
- Must reside in a compact state.
- 2 years or more of relevant experience with an RN License.
- Active unencumbered license in the state of residence.
- Completed the NCLEX or a recognized state board exam.
- Ability to apply for or have a compact license and single state licenses without restrictions.
- Must have taken Microbiology in order to obtain California licensure.
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Neurology/Multiple sclerosis, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Asthma, Oncology, or Pediatrics.
- Proficient in using Microsoft applications.
- Minimum Internet speed: 5MBPS upload/2 MBPS download (Cable broadband or Fiber Optic).
- Excellent phone etiquette.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic education to patients and caregivers, including disease and drug-specific education.
- Follow clinical protocols and work within the nursing scope of practice and guidelines.
- Assess and document clinical data and interventions.
- Empower patients to be at their best and focus on their overall well-being.
- Communicate with the patient’s treating physician regarding new symptoms and health-related matters.
- Participate in new hire training and mentoring.
- Conduct peer-to-peer quality documentation checks and provide feedback to management.
