About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of telemetry and stepdown nursing, along with the ability to care for diverse patient populations in acute care settings. The unit has 38 beds with nurse to patient ratios of 4:1 - 5:1. Common diagnoses include ETOH, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI surgery, GU surgery, and joint replacements. The Tele/Monitor Technology used is GE monitors, with dedicated monitor techs available. The role requires the ability to read telemetry strips and titrate drips such as insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem. Our team utilizes the Cerner charting system for patient documentation. This position is based in a city with a variety of healthcare facilities. Specific location details can be provided upon inquiry.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in telemetry or stepdown nursing
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Responsibilities

• Care for diverse patient populations in acute care settings.
• Read telemetry strips.
• Titrate drips such as insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem.
• Float to medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed.
